worldmap

Physical Archive | Collage

The average person knows 500–2500 people (fucking big range imho; miles between the 500 and the 2500 there). A metric called the Dunbar’s Number caps this at 150 meaningful, stable social relationships. worldmap is a physical archiving exercise that attempts to visualise human connection through the lens of the universally relatable ‘passport photograph’, using a single collaged visual.

Hello World!

Digital Photography | Print Exhibits, Digital Art

An ode to Swedish computer scientist and philosopher Nick Bostrom’s Simulation Hypothesis, Hello World! is the result of an obsessive practice that involves the creation of inexhaustible, ever-expansive visual realities out of lens-based image-making exercises, each lasting roughly 15–20 minutes. It attempts to contrast, or rather highlight the temporal limitations of carbon-based life and the human experience against the scale of an information-based reality.

Breaking time and space through a carefully orchestrated dialogue between simple imaging tools like plane mirrors, cameras and projectors. A device that can theoretically trap light information within a given space infinitely, only limited by digital imaging, resolution, and storage limitations.
